Hello SNOW friends.....
First things first- We have a wonderful story to
share.
Our club guys, Frank Hoose, Aaron Miller, Zachary
VanPatten, Jarrod Kristel, and Matt Hart, were involved in a successful search
and rescue of three Brink Family members (also SASC club members), during the
snow storm yesterday. The snowmobilers had been stuck in the heavy snow for
almost 24 hours. I am proud and very pleased to report that all 3 are warm and
doing well now(TG!)Needless to say, some very tense moments for all of us.....
Jeff Miskinis, Frank Hoose, Rob VanPatten, Aaron
Miller, Zach Van Patten, and Jarrod Kristel were also involved in the
successful recovery of two stranded sleds, and one of our groomers (with the
help of the MFD).
Congrats to all of our guys, local
authorities, and especially to the Mayfield Fire Dept. These guys were
all amazing!! Three lives were saved, due to the readiness and teamwork showed
in this search and rescue.
God bless the Brink's and all that joined in in
our search and rescue!!
GROOMING SEMINAR/REFRESHER- scheduled for 02/17/07
has got to be postponed. Our equipment took on some heavy work, and in frigid
temps, and we have some minor repairs to do.
We will get back in touch, I will send e mail,
regarding the new date. Sorry for any inconvenience this may have caused.
Please call me w/questions. (661-6534)
Be safe and proceed w/caution out there. There is
a lot of snow, trails are not broken, and it's tricky riding. Many BIG drifts
of snow.
Our next Club meeting is on March 8th, 7pm
Mayfield Municipal. Building. I will send a reminder, and please watch
the website for updates.
Thanks, and I'm not sure about "thinking
snow" right now...We must pack, and groom what we now have (all 35
inches).
Take care all- and I'll be back in touch soon.
