Video Cards

The video card is what transmits the video signal from your computer to your monitor. The more memory the video card has, the less computer memory the system needs to reserve from your system memory for video, which gives your system more memory to run other programs.  Now, keep in mind that the video card works with your monitor, so getting a new video card that is more than your monitor can handle won't help either!  Remember, your video card and monitor work together!
